Learning Center

The learning center is conceived as a contemporary educational hub within the framework of urban planning and urban design in Rothneusiedl, Vienna. Occupying an entire city block, the building functions as a key public anchor for the neighborhood, strengthening its social and spatial identity.

Its architecture is defined by a clear horizontal layout organized around a central double-height space that ensures visual continuity and spatial openness. Zenithal daylight enters through the gently sloped roof and roof openings, allowing natural light to penetrate deep into the interior and enhance the quality of the learning environments.

The building envelope is characterized by wooden cladding, emphasizing warmth, sustainability, and a human scale. Large glazed surfaces and semi-open spaces enable nature to flow into the building, creating diverse atmospheres for learning, interaction, and relaxation. Acting as a mediator between the urban fabric and the landscape, the project redefines the relationship between architecture, nature, and everyday life.
